1. Theology. A person officially recognized as being entitled to public veneration and capable of interceding for people stuck on earth.

2. An extremely virtuous person.

3. Modern. A person that will loan you cash or return your phone calls or still talk to you even though you have just behaved so poorly that no one else will. A person that will do any of these things even when it is clearly not to their advantage.
